Life doesn’t pause for your habit routine. In reality, vacations, illness, business trips, or a demanding stretch at work can all knock your tracking off course. Off Mode is Habitify’s way of handling that honestly: instead of quietly racking up missed days and broken streaks while you’re away, you tell the app in advance, and it protects your progress for the whole period. You set a Time Off, and once that period begins, Off Mode kicks in automatically. Turning it on gives you three things:
  • Reminders Off: every habit reminder is disabled for the duration, including your daily briefing notification, so nothing nags you while you’re meant to be resting or away.
  • On Vacation status: all your habits are automatically marked “on vacation” for each day in the Time Off period.
  • Streak protection: your streaks are preserved rather than reset, so a planned break doesn’t undo weeks or months of consistency.
You’ll still get two notifications during Off Mode: one when it starts, and one on the last day, letting you know it’s about to end.

Scheduling a time off

  1. In Habitify app, go to ‘Settings’.
  2. Under Data section, tap to access ‘Off Mode’.
  3. In the next screen, tap ‘Plan new Time Off’.
  4. In Plan new Time Off screen, configure the details of your time off:
    1. Choose an icon, this will be marked on the day during your time off when you view back in the single progress view of the habit later.
    2. Tap ‘Reason’ input field, and enter the name for the time off.
    3. In ‘Start Date’ and ‘End Date’, select date to set the duration of your time off.
Start Date must be tomorrow or later, the duration should be at least 2 day.
E.g., Start Date is Sep 1, then End Date must be Sep 2 or later.
  5. Finally, tap ‘Save’ button in the top right corner to plan your time off.

Removing a time off

If you scheduled a Time Off you no longer need, because plans changed before it even started, for example, you can remove it:
  • In Settings > Off Mode, swipe left the Time Off
  • Tap ‘Delete’

Stopping a time off early

If your plans change and you want to come back before your scheduled end date, you can turn Off Mode off in the middle of an active Time Off
  • In Settings > Off Mode, swipe left the Time Off
  • Tap ‘Stop’
  • In Confirmation, tap ‘OK’.
After that, you can come back tracking your habit starting from the current date.

Logging progress during time off

While the Off mode is enabled, the Journal view will not show the habit list. That also means you cannot check your progress on your habits during this time. The solution to this concern is to wait until the time off has ended and the habit list appears on the Journal view again. Then take the following steps:
  • In Journal, swipe right your habit and choose Log Progress
  • Enter the progress value, and choose a date within the time off
  • Tap the ✓ button to save the log.
