# Single progress

Single Progress is the detailed view of one specific habit, **which you can open by tapping on a habit from Journal or Progress.** It's where you go to see the full history behind a single streak: a calendar, a performance chart, and the exact numbers behind your consistency.

There are single progress view of a good habit, and a bad habit. This article is about to guide you a tour through these views.

    ## Good habit's single progress

    ### Current streak

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/CurrentStreak-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=dd0a46462e8858edb0bfe9d85d2fec66" alt="Current Streak Good Habit Single I OS" width="3522" height="1981" data-path="images/CurrentStreak-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png" />

    The first thing you see in the single progress view of a good habit is the current streak you've been maintaining with the habit.

    Based on the goal of your habits, how your streak increases is different:

    * **For the habit with a per-day goal**: your streak increases when you complete your habit for the day it is scheduled to repeat. Below your streak, you can see the progress of the last 7 days.
    * **For the habit with a per-week goal**: your streak increases when you complete the weekly goal. Below your streak, you can see the progress of the last 7 weeks, or since your starting week.
    * **For the habit with a per-week goal**: your streak increases when you complete the monthly goal. Below your streak, you can see the progress of the last 7 months, or since your starting month.
    * **For the habit with a per-year goal**: your streak increases when you complete the annual goal. Below your streak, you can see the progress of the last 7 years, or since your starting year.

    ### **Progress Bar to End Condition**

    If your habit is set with an End Condition, a progress bar to track the journey until the ultimate goal will appear in this Single progress view of your habit.

    With this Progress Bar, you can see how long have you achieved and how long you have still to strive for until your big goal, closely and visually.

    ### Core indexes

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/CoreIndex-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=eba675d743debbabf151b105244c265d" alt="Core Index Good Habit Single I OS" width="2374" height="1335" data-path="images/CoreIndex-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png" />

    There are 4 index numbers:

    * **Success**: displays the number of days you achieved your habit goal in the month.
    * **Failed**: shows the number of days you marked as failed for the habit in the month.
    * **Skipped**: indicates the number of days you marked as skipped for the habit in the month.
    * **Total**: reflects the total amount or number of times you have completed the habit, with the unit aligned to your goal's unit (e.g., minutes) in the month.

    Under each significant number, you can compare your achievement from the previous range ( ex, this month compared to the total count of the last month, this year compared to the total count of the prior year).

    <Note>
      ***How “Success” is calculated?***

      * If your habit is a daily habit, it will be the number of days you complete your goal.
      * If your habit is a habit with per-week goal, once you complete the goal of a week, it will be counted as 7 days of success, excluding the number of days you mark as Skip or Fail.
      * If your habit a habit with per-month goal, once you complete this month's goal, it will be the total days of the month, excluding the number of days you mark as Skip or Fail.
      * If your habit is a habit with per-year goal, once you complete this month's goal, it will be the total days of the year, excluding the number of days you mark as Skip or Fail.
    </Note>

    ### Progress in Calendar

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/CalendarView-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=dd3c5a3dc9d0848e20b11fd180de8db2" alt="Calendar View Good Habit Single I OS" width="3082" height="1734" data-path="images/CalendarView-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png" />

    The calendar visually represents your habit progress in the month. Each day is marked with different symbols based on the status you check on your habit on that day:

    * **A solid colored circle**: the day you mark your habit as Completed, or have any progress on habits with per-week, per-month, or per-year goal.
    * **An incomplete circle**: the day you do some progress on your habit with a per-day goal.
    * **An right-headed arrow**: the day you mark your habit as Skipped.
    * **A black cross**: the day you mark your habit as Failed.

    You can swipe the calendar to the right to see the previous month, and swipe it to the left to see the later month until the current month.

    ### Streak History

    If your habit has a per-day goal, this section will show you the streaks that you have achieved with your habit, from the first one you got to the most recent one.

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/StreakDaily-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=9a4cc2fdfec5ed8f9fe690383f0ddb95" alt="Streak Daily Good Habit Single I OS" width="2632" height="1481" data-path="images/StreakDaily-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png" />

    If your habit as a per-week, per-month, or per-year goal, this section will show your completion rate in each week, month, or year, since the starting period.

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/StreakPeriod-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=260ab4799d3e1193d1813e07af8896f8" alt="Streak Period Good Habit Single I OS" width="3593" height="2021" data-path="images/StreakPeriod-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png" />

    ### Trending column chart

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/TrendChart-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=526fa582118e37779fba8fe0503f688d" alt="Trend Chart Good Habit Single I OS" width="3003" height="1689" data-path="images/TrendChart-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png" />

    The column chart gives you a powerful visual of your habit performance over time. At the bottom of the chart, you can switch between **Day**, **Week**, **Month**, or **Year**. This lets you see your progress from a daily snapshot to a long-term trend.

    When you select a time period, you'll see:

    * **Your performance trend:** Each column shows your total achievement for that period (for example, each day of the week or each month of the year).
    * **Exact details:** Tap and hold any column to see the specific number you achieved for that single period.
    * **Your average:** The chart also calculates your average achievement per period since you started the habit.

    You also can see a **red dashed line** on the chart. This line represents the goal you set for your habit. It’s a simple way to instantly see how you’re doing.

    *For example, if your goal is to walk 2,000 meters a day, the red line on the daily chart will be at 2,000 m. This allows you to quickly check which days you met or exceeded your goal.*

    ### Consistency line chart

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/Consistency-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=7a91b43348c8efe7c14208d2dad88373" alt="Consistency Good Habit Single I OS" width="3421" height="1924" data-path="images/Consistency-GoodHabitSingle-iOS.png" />

    For your habits with a per-day goal, you will find a powerful metric called the **Consistency Index**. This score goes beyond a simple streak to give you a more nuanced view of your performance over a selected period (30, 60, 90, or 180 days).

    While a streak is an all-or-nothing measure, the Consistency Index rewards **effort and resilience**. It shows you that even if you break a streak, you can still maintain a high level of consistency. It's a more forgiving and realistic way to look at your long-term journey of self-improvement.

    Here is an example of how the Consistency score is calculated for your habit:

    <Info>
      **To make this clear, let's use a simple 3-day period for a habit.**

      **Day 1:** You complete the habit.

      * **Daily Value:** 100%
      * **Daily Consistency for Day 1:** 100% (the average of the last 3 days, but only Day 1 exists)

      **Day 2:** You complete half the goal.

      * **Daily Value:** 50%
      * **Daily Consistency for Day 2:** (100% \[Day 1] + 50% \[Day 2]) / 2 = **75%**

      **Day 3:** You fail the habit.

      * **Daily Value:** 0%
      * **Daily Consistency for Day 3:** (100% \[Day 1] + 50% \[Day 2] + 0% \[Day 3]) / 3 = **50%**

      **The Final Calculation:** Your **Overall Consistency** for this 3-day period would be the average of the Daily Consistency scores: `(100% + 75% + 50%) / 3 = 75%`
    </Info>

    Within the Consistency chart, you will see a **dashed line**. This line represents your **past performance**, allowing you to easily see if your current consistency trend is better or worse than before.

    The comparison period changes based on the date range you select:

    * For the last **30D** view, the dashed line shows your average from the **previous 60 days**.
    * For the last **60D** view, the dashed line shows your average from the **previous 120 days**.
    * For the last **90D** view, the dashed line shows your average from the **previous 180 days**.

    You can determine if your consistency is trending up or down by looking at two key things in the chart: the **solid line** and its relationship to the **dashed line**.

    ## Bad habit's single progress

    ### Current Streak

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/CurrentStreak-BadHabitSingle-iOS.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=add0f375d39e2edeaa795d03093fe3ac" alt="Current Streak Bad Habit Single I OS" width="3025" height="1702" data-path="images/CurrentStreak-BadHabitSingle-iOS.png" />

    The first thing you see in the single progress view of a bad habit is the current streak you've been maintaining with the habit.

    **For habits with goal to limit**, how to increase your current streak is based on your habit's goal:

    * Goal to limit per day: Streak increases when a day is marked as suceeded.
    * Goal to limit per week: Streak increases when you keep your doings under the weekly limitation.
    * Goal to limit per month: Streak increases when you keep your doings under the monthly limitation.
    * Goal to limit per year: Streak increases when you keep your doings under the annual limitation.

    **For habits with goal to quit,** streak increases when you stay away from the habit for the current day successfully and the day is marked as suceeded.

    ### Core indexes

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/CoreIndex-BadHabitSingle-iOS.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=507fe38022007846c37ea44446aa8a47" alt="Core Index Bad Habit Single I OS" width="2191" height="1233" data-path="images/CoreIndex-BadHabitSingle-iOS.png" />

    A grid report provides the details of your progress, where you can see the specific numbers reported on your achievement and development:

    * **Success**: The total number in the selected time range you succeed not doing the bad habit or doing under the limitation.
    * **Failed**: The total number of failed days in the selected time range on which you make your habit more than the limitation.
    * **Zero-Day (with Limit goal only)**: The number of days you are not doing the habit at all.
    * **Total (with Limit goal only)**: The total amount indicating how you perform your bad habits. For example, if your goal unit is "mins", the total number will show the total minutes you spent on your habit.

    For bad habits with a goal to limit per week, month, or year, once you go over the limitation and fail the habit, the current day and the rest of the current period will be counted to "Failed".

    ### Progress in Calendar

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/Calendar-BadHabitSingle-iOS.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=cce5e5a90358e95e804a2352f3aa0daa" alt="Calendar Bad Habit Single I OS" width="3003" height="1689" data-path="images/Calendar-BadHabitSingle-iOS.png" />

    The Calendar view visually represents your habit progress in the month. Each day is marked with different symbols based on its status.

    * **A solid colored circle**: the day you mark your habit as Succeeded.
    * **An right-headed arrow**: the day you mark your habit as Skipped.
    * **A black cross**: the day you mark your habit as Failed.

    You can swipe the calendar to the right to see the previous month, and swipe it to the left to see the later month until the current month.

    ### Trending column chart

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/TrendChart-BadHabitSingle-iOS.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=b78ae8f1f6600c216994548701cbea1a" alt="Trend Chart Bad Habit Single I OS" width="3084" height="1735" data-path="images/TrendChart-BadHabitSingle-iOS.png" />

    The trending column chart provides insights into your daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance. It also shows the average progress value for your bad habits since you began tracking them.

    Furthermore, tapping on a specific column lets you view the exact amount done for the selected period (date, week, month, or year).

    ### Streak History

    If your habit has a goal to quit, or to limit per day, this section will show you the streaks that you have achieved with your habit, from the first one you got to the most recent one.

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h/images/StreakDaily-BadHabitSingle-iOS-1.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=WbdwhojtuJoBoA_h&q=85&s=c9f1d4a9143e27cdf3d8653676b13a85" alt="Streak Daily Bad Habit Single I OS 1" width="2620" height="1474" data-path="images/StreakDaily-BadHabitSingle-iOS-1.png" />

    ### Streak History

    If your habit has a per-day goal, this section will show you the streaks that you have achieved with your habit, from the first one you got to the most recent one.

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/P4J80sVtRwZ63Av2/images/StreaksDaily-GoodHabitSingle-Android.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=P4J80sVtRwZ63Av2&q=85&s=d0bdab04fc63f127b0e6e718ed93a196" alt="Streaks Daily Good Habit Single Android" width="2520" height="1418" data-path="images/StreaksDaily-GoodHabitSingle-Android.png" />

    If your habit has a per-week, per-month, or per-year goal, this section will show your completion rate in each week, month, or year, since the starting period.

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/P4J80sVtRwZ63Av2/images/StreaksPeriod-GoodHabitSingle-Android.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=P4J80sVtRwZ63Av2&q=85&s=6068706e26c4d0b8e92cece1af6a462f" alt="Streaks Period Good Habit Single Android" width="3255" height="1831" data-path="images/StreaksPeriod-GoodHabitSingle-Android.png" />

    ### Consistency line chart

    For your habits with a per-day goal, you will find a powerful metric called the **Consistency Index**. This score goes beyond a simple streak to give you a more nuanced view of your performance over a selected period (30, 60, 90, or 180 days).

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/P4J80sVtRwZ63Av2/images/Consistency-GoodHabitSingle-Android.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=P4J80sVtRwZ63Av2&q=85&s=0964b8e8460c6d53b12da0f325dec3d2" alt="Consistency Good Habit Single Android" width="2539" height="1428" data-path="images/Consistency-GoodHabitSingle-Android.png" />

    <Info>
      **To make this clear, let's use a simple 3-day period for a habit.**

      **Day 1:** You complete the habit.

      * **Daily Value:** 100%
      * **Daily Consistency for Day 1:** 100% (the average of the last 3 days, but only Day 1 exists)

      **Day 2:** You complete half the goal.

      * **Daily Value:** 50%
      * **Daily Consistency for Day 2:** (100% \[Day 1] + 50% \[Day 2]) / 2 = **75%**

      **Day 3:** You fail the habit.

      * **Daily Value:** 0%
      * **Daily Consistency for Day 3:** (100% \[Day 1] + 50% \[Day 2] + 0% \[Day 3]) / 3 = **50%**

      **The Final Calculation:** Your **Overall Consistency** for this 3-day period would be the average of the Daily Consistency scores: `(100% + 75% + 50%) / 3 = 75%`
    </Info>

    Within the Consistency chart, you will see a **dashed line**. This line represents your **past performance**, allowing you to easily see if your current consistency trend is better or worse than before.

    The comparison period changes based on the date range you select:

    * When viewing the last **30 days**, the dashed line shows your average from the **previous 60 days**.
    * When viewing the last **60 days**, the dashed line shows your average from the **previous 120 days**.
    * When viewing the last **90 days**, the dashed line shows your average from the **previous 180 days**.

    You can determine if your consistency is trending up or down by looking at two key things in the chart: the **solid line** and its relationship to the **dashed line**.

    ## Bad habit's single progress

    ### Current Streak

    <img src="https://mintcdn.com/habitify/P4J80sVtRwZ63Av2/images/CurrentStreak-BadHabit-Android.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=P4J80sVtRwZ63Av2&q=85&s=7278bbe1bd8defe6e9096b0075399a60" alt="Current Streak Bad Habit Android" width="3049" height="1715" data-path="images/CurrentStreak-BadHabit-Android.png" />

    The first thing you see in the single progress view of a bad habit is the current streak you've been maintaining with the habit.

    **For habits with goal to limit**, how to increase your current streak is based on your habit's goal:

    * Goal to limit per day: Streak increases when a day is marked as suceeded.

    In the single progress view of a good habit, reading from top to bottom, left to right, here's what you'll find:

    * Your habit's current streak
    * The key metrics for the month you're viewing
    * A side-by-side calendar view of the current month and the previous one
    * A full history of every streak you've built with this habit
    * A column chart showing your achievement trend across days, weeks, months, or years

    ### Current streak

    The first thing on the left side of the single progress view of a good habit is the current streak you've been maintaining with the habit.

    <Note>

    </Note>

    ### Progress in Calendar

    The calendar visually represents your habit progress in 2 continuous months, with the currently-viewing month on the left.

    If your habit as a per-week, per-month, or per-year goal, this section will show your completion rate in each week, month, or year, since the starting period.

    ### Trending column chart
