# Note

Note is a small, built-in diary attached to each habit , a place to write down your thoughts, feelings, and experiences as you track your progress.

Unlike a check-in, which only records *whether* you did the habit, a Note lets you capture *why* - what was going through your mind that day, what got in the way, or what pushed you to keep going. You can also attach a photo to a note, so a workout, a meal, or a finished project can sit right alongside the day it happened.

Note isn't tied to one specific use, but it flexes with whatever you actually need that day. A few ways people use it:

* **Inspiration and vision:** Write down the reason you started the habit in the first place. On days when motivation runs low, having your original "why" saved right inside the habit can pull you back on track.
* **Diary and reflection:** Treat it as a running journal for the habit, like how you felt, how it went, what you noticed. Over time, this reflection makes it easier to spot what's actually helping you improve, instead of relying on memory alone.
* **Problem-solving:** On a day you couldn't complete the habit, jot down what got in the way. Writing the obstacle down, rather than letting it pass silently, makes it much easier to plan around it next time instead of hitting the same wall again.

This article will guide you around to use the Note.
