# Habitify MCP

Habitify MCP (Model Context Protocol) connects your Habitify account directly to AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude.

Once connected, you're not just chatting about your habits, but you can actually manage them using natural language, right from your conversation with your AI assistant of choice.

## Connecting Habitify MCP

### Connecting to Claude

1. Open Claude and go to **Customize**.
2. Choose **Connectors.**
3. Click **Add.**
4. In *Add custom connector*, configure as below:
   1. **Name**: Habitify
   2. **MCP server URL**: `https://mcp.habitify.me/mcp`
5. Follow the prompts to sign in to Habitify and authorize access.

Once the authorization is successful, you can see the detailed settings of Habitify connector you just added.

In the new chat, click + button → Connectors → turn on Habitify, and start interacting with your habits in Habitify right in Claude.

### Connecting to ChatGPT

1. In the ChatGPT interface, go to **Plugins.**
2. Search for **Habitify.**
3. Click + to start connecting.
4. You will redirect to Habitify on website, log into your Habitify account , then, in the authorization step, click **Connect**.

Once the authorization is successful, you can click **Start Chat** to start interacting with your habits in Habitify right in ChatGPT.

### Connecting to others

To connect Habitify to a new tool, you will typically be asked for a **Server URL** or **Connection Link**.

* **Connection URL:** `https://mcp.habitify.me/mcp`
* **Connection Type:** SSE (Server-Sent Events)

Since every app looks a little different, the exact buttons might vary, but the process is usually the same:

1. Look for a section in your app's settings called "Connectors," "Servers," or "Extensions."
2. Choose the option to add a new custom server.
3. Enter the details:
   * **Name:** `Habitify`
   * **URL:** Paste the link provided above (`https://mcp.habitify.me/mcp`).
4. Once added, your tool will likely ask you to log in to your Habitify account to approve the access.

## What Habitify MCP can do with your habits

Once connected, you can ask your AI assistant to handle real actions in your Habitify account, entirely through natural language:

* **Check your list**: Ask "Show me my habits for today," or for any specific date, to see what's still left to do.

* **Add a log:** Ask "Mark my morning run as complete," or add a specific value toward a numeric goal.

* **Update status**: Ask to change a habit's status to Completed, Skipped, or Failed.

* **Clear progress** : Ask to wipe a habit's logged progress for a specific day, resetting it back to 0 or "Not Started." If you don't mention a date, this defaults to today.
